is there a new trend starting that i don't know about? getting designs painted on your toe nails? i've noticed so many women with crazy random designs on their big toe nail... one while riding up the elevator this morning. HUH? what did i miss here?
TAHOE:
was sort of a bust (i hate to say that out loud) due to bad weather. snowy and cold. and i was homesick (which was so weird for me because i usually enjoy/appreciate my "no baby" time). we planned these glorious vacation activities.. like parasailing, horseback riding, bike riding, laying on the beach, renting a boat or kayak, hiking, etc. however NONE of those were an option with snow and more snow. so we tried to make the best of it.
we did get in a great day of hiking friday. it was beautiful on the mountains overlooking the lake! snowcapped mountains everywhere you look. it doesn't feel real.. it looks like a movie background screen has been propped up. we enjoyed a bottle of wine while sitting on a rock overlooking a waterfall...not bad. unfortunately that was the only day of no snow. i did a really poor job of being the group cheerleader too. i just couldn't rally. sometimes, i am the one in need of the cheerleader. Oh well, i truly enjoyed the girls, and the mountain views, and the fantastic dinner at edgewood, and "walking in Memphis" while i learned how to play Cadillac. and hearing shala giggle at all of charles' silly bets that no one would take him up on. and beth being a secret shark at card games. some funny things come out of that girl's mouth when you don't expect it. i mean, you would figure being married to Charles she has to hold her own... but it is hard to imagine sweet little beth saying a curse word. so when she did, oh i likeddddd it!! hahaha so yes, there were good times.
and meanwhile, back in houston at the Bruno house... Anne and Anne had a grand ol' time! Apparently lots of trips to Target, lots of Mickey Mouse and lots of playing outside. Also, Mom didn't seem to believe in putting bathing suits on Annie while playing in the hose! LOL. so here are the pictures I received all weekend long from them.
RANDOM RANT:
I just had a long discussion with my friend about some drama that came up over her blog. she writes a blog about the trials and rewards of being a newlywed. in one of her blogs she discussed having to share holidays between families and how she was sad she wasn't able to spend thanksgiving with her family and had to spend it with her husbands' family. something we ALL experience (no matter how great your husband’s family is). Well some of her in-laws took offense to her saying that and sent her a nasty gram about it! So now she is trying to do damage control over this small little insignificant thing that was misconstrued into her talking bad about them.
That really bothered me. not everyone is going to agree with your opinions and what you write in your blog. But it’s your blog. and now it’s like "am i going to offend someone?" it completely defeats the purpose of blogging. very upsetting indeed. blogging is personal and self indulgent. if you don't like a blog or what it says, don't read it. get over it. maybe you like getting crazy graphics painted on your big toenail... ok ok ok ok
TONIGHT:
dinner with my lady friends at Ruggles! Can't wait can't wait can't wait. then friday we are going to a spelling bee party at Maria's. and all the brunos and robyn are coming in town!!! CAN'T WAIT! i love love love love love me some sarah bruno!
